Registration Refund
UPDATE as of August 11th:
All members qualifying for a refund should have already received it in the mail, if not email cagola1@aol.com. Remember, only people that paid dues since January 1st, 2011 will be refunded.
For several years, the club had annual renewals in March. Then this year we implemented a change in that process by allowing renewals to take place
on the anniversary of your registration date. The purpose of this change was to accommodate automated registration through on-line registration and fee collection. Because of the status of the club as being deactived, registration dues will be returned to all members who are new or renewed since January 1st, 2011 in the full amount. Everyone that falls into this category should receive their refund in the 4th week of June. If you have any questions about your refund, you can write to cagola1@aol.com

Club Disposition!
Wilderness Trekkers was started in 1995 and during its 16 years of service, provided hundreds of events and scores of educational programs to thousands of people that have come and gone. Unfortunately the club fell short in garnering necessary leadership to continue with its organizational obligations and standards; and as of June 1st, 2011 has been deactivated.
The "deactive" status is just short of dissolution of the organization. It means we are offering no activities under the Wilderness Trekker calendar and we currently have no event host holding events under this name. We will retain this status for 8 months (until February 1st, 2012) until such time either a new board is formed and the club re-activates its status or the club officially dissolves.
The current board had no choice but to come to this conclusion. However, we are very grateful for the great adventures, countless stories, and many friendships built over the years spanning the life of this club. We want to thank the numerous people that contributed through all the years, the great leadership of the founding members, the team of event hosts and all their time and effort in putting together outdoor adventures and all the less obvious folks that contributed to all the greatness that made the Wilderness Trekkers a highly desirable organization throughout the State of Florida.
