Kayak and Camping -

The kayak/camping of was combined with Mosquito Lagoon Paddlers and Wilderness Trekkers.
With heavy rain showers Fri night, everyone decided not to camp Friday.
We all met on Saturday at Sanchez Park boat ramp, meeting others joining us for a day paddle.  There were 12 in total.  We paddled 7. Miles on Strickland's Creek.  The. weather was perfect. After we got back,  we played some and paddled each others kayaks and went to Tomoka State Park to set our camps.  On Sunday, we had others joining us. A group  of 6 launched from the State park boat ramp, paddled Halifax River, passed 4 islands, stopped at an island for a break and returned to the ramp. Again, we were fortunate to have a gorgeous day and spend time with fellow paddlers.
