Soldiers Creek Hike -

We met at 12:30pm Sunday afternoon  in Winter Springs, near the Soldiers Creek Park Soccer field area.  Just 4 of us, but 3 were brand new members Don & Heidi Scott, and Beth Jackson.  Welcome to Wilderness Trekkers!   The Scott's are new to the area from Los Angeles, CA  just 4 months ago, recently moved to Ocoee, FL, and desire to get "plugged in" to a group of kayaking, hiking, fishing loving people.  We hiked just 40 minutes but at a rugged pace, giving all a healthy cardio-vascular workout on a forest path alongside a creek.  We didn't see any wildlife, other than lizards, but we got a chance to talk about kayaking (my first love), and about the Wilderness Trekkers, and all the fun we have....it's all about getting out with fellow nature lovers and making new friends - and staying safe by not going it alone.   Short but nice "get acquainted" kind of hiking.  Much fun!    Thanks to all who joined me in one of my favorite places to exercise!    :)
