Princess Place Preserve Camping -
Great weather, enjoyable people, quiet scenic campsite at the water's edge, and lots of food contributed to a delightful long weekend for 8 Trekkers. Paddling on Pellicer Creek, biking and a little hiking in the preserve, as well as an Easter sunrise service for those who chose to go, and a tour of an old hunting/fishing lodge rounded out the weekend.

Princess Place Preserve Camping -
We had warm days and good sleeping weather at night, no rain and good company at this wonderful place. There were 6 campers and 3 more day visitors. Strict rules help protect this preserve. We attended the house tour, hiked, paddled, biked, and gazed at the scenery, and Eric fished. We saw lots of deer, eagles, other birds, armadillos, lots of little crabs, caterpillars, and a wide variety of insects. Eric saw large water moccasin sunning himself on the trail, and Erica saw a sea turtle in the Matanzas River while paddling. Each evening an orange (nearly) full moon rose the water/horizon for our entertainment. A sunrise Easter service was held by the water in the main part of the preserve, attended by about 100 people.
